2008 Fellowship Competition Electronic Submission Guidelines

The deadline for Fellowship Competition Entries has been extended to March 15, 2008.

Manuscripts must be in Rich Text Format (RTF), double-spaced (for poetry, single-spaced is acceptable).
Fiction and non-fiction must be 5,000 words or less.
Fiction may be one short story, or an excerpt from a novel. No children's fiction, please.
Nonfiction may be one essay, or an excerpt from a longer memoir.
Poetry may be up to six poems, a ten-page maximum.
Submit only one work per entry. Writers may submit multiple manuscripts, but each manuscript should be submitted separately and be accompanied by a separate entry payment.
Manuscripts must be anonymous. Please include your name and the title of your manuscript ONLY in Writers@Work Submission Manager. The manuscript file itself should have only the title of the work.
Current or former students who have studied with judges in an accredited degree-granting program or institution are not eligible for the competition.
Entries must be submitted by March 1, 2008.

Please note that Fellowship Competition manuscripts do not satisfy the writing sample requirements for juried workshops.

Each Entry Must Include:

$20 reading and printing fee for each entry. Please pay using the paypal button below.
The manuscript file should NOT contain the author's name or other acknowledgements of any kind.
Each entry must be submitted separately.
Indicate genre in the e-mail subject line (ie fiction submission for 2008 Fellowship Competition).
No e-mail synopses please.
For a group of poems, enter either a title for the group, or the title of the first poem.
Manuscripts will not be returned.
